THIS PAGE SHOWS DETAILS OF MY NEW 1/10th SCALE NITRO POWERED OVAL RACING CARS.

I recently raced two of my Nitro-powered 1/10th scale NASCAR type cars, at the SANDOWN
MODEL SHOW, (6/7th May 2000.),with great success,competing with the 1/8th
scale 3.5cc powered HOT RODS, I managed a FIRST place finish on the Saturday,
(57 laps in the 5 minute final),and a THIRD place finish, (with damaged rear "dogbone"),
on the Sunday! - (44 laps in a 4 minute final)..

I believe these cars could make an ideal new scale Radio Controlled formula for the
U.K. Oval tracks - Imagine 10 or more of these cars, racing together on
our 1/8th scale Oval tracks, where driving ability and set-up know-how, will
be more important than straight line speed.
Later next year, FULL SIZED oval
racing will start at ROCKINGHAM MOTOR SPEEDWAY, near Corby, Northamptonshire,
England. It is hoped that the American style V8's will be racing there, with
the possibility of several visits from the NASCAR style racers !
With the
introduction of these full sized cars, and increased coverage in the press and
on T.V.,I hope scale versions of these NASCAR style cars should become very popular,
with all our Oval Racers !

Below you will see details of the cars I raced in my evaluation of this formula.
My
main car was the 4WD Kyosho spider Mk.2 pure 10 car, plus a new 1/10th scale POWER ZONE car.
You will also see pictures of my electric powered MARDAVE V10 car, fitted with a NASCAR body.
I used bodies from Bolink on the Kyosho car, for racing, with more recent body shells
from PROTOform.
